Day 5

Fun at Seaquake with my friends. Okay, birthday is over and let’s move on. Today I need to shop for groceries. No vegs are in my refrigerator and that is my main menu. Good talk with Megan. She is sure the plan will go.. Her guy who will put a value on the property will happen soon and then it will be done. It is still a surprise to me that she wants chickens and axes for firewood. Those activities are outside of her experience.

day 4

The history of hair-dos from all of us were funny and we all laughed a lot. I love our group. The sharing is meaningful and significant. Today is foggy and cold so I will bundle up for my walk to the Chamber of Commerce for my volunteer duty. I’m looking forward to later when Rosalie will pick me up and off to Seaquake to meet Karen and Michele for my birthday lunch. I don’t need any more acknowledgement but oh well, my friends get me!

Day 3

Yesterday was as close to feeling well as has happened since the Vertigo attack. Walking the dogs to the groomer worked fine. I didn’t get the green bin filled as bending down was not on the menu. Today I need to give a quick once over to my house for Tea and stories group. I look forward to our gathering. Rosalie is bringing cookies. Megan’s inspection gave some troubling information but she is sure she will get it. We are  poised to embrace the change.

My mother hoped for a feminine girly-girl daughter and got me instead. Rolled up jeans, tenny runners, and a sweatshirt were my preferred wardrobe although dresses were required for school. I liked my long pigtails and had to be coaxed or threatened into dress up clothes. Once in a while she would insist on fixing me up. I often had fancy pigtails, French  braid or wrapped around my head like a crown. And once ins a while My mother would shampoo my long straight hair and rinse it with vinegar. Then she would drape a big towel around my shoulders and comb and comb until it was free of any tangles. The sectioning would begin with careful attention to having each section match. Can’t have fat curls and skinny curls. They have to be the same. She used a rat tail comb to draw the lines from crown on

Day 2

Birthday is over and I’m grateful for all the greetings. The BOS was brief and the Mexican lunch with Hollie was great plus the massage with Karen knocked me out. Megan is satisfied with the inspection report on the house she wants to buy. So, today: I’ll be walking the dogs to the groomer, and then hope to fill the green bin too. At noon, I will go to church and have ashes imposed to remind me to repent and that death comes to everyone.

Day 1

Exhausted from starting the new blog. Why does it have to be so complicated or am I slipping?  I will attend the board of Supervisors meeting and then have lunch with Hollie followed by a massage with Karen. I know someone is coming over later. Facebook had lovely messages for me and I appreciate them. I want a smooth year and that’s not going to happen with the family changes coming soon. The sun is shining, daffodils blooming and I checked the buds on the lilac.
